Questions?

The short answers.

What is Usenet?

Usenet is one of the oldest corners of the internet: a worldwide, decentralised network of discussion groups (newsgroups). Posts are copied between servers around the globe, and with a provider like Xennews you get fast, direct access to all of them.

Do I need a VPN?

No. Every connection to Xennews is encrypted with SSL on ports 563 and 443, so your ISP can't see what you read. A VPN only adds latency on top.

How do I set it up?

After signing up you receive your username and password. Enter them in your newsreader (SABnzbd, NZBGet, Newsleecher, Unison…) together with our server name, choose port 563 with SSL enabled and you're ready to go.

Can I stop at any time?

Yes. Every plan is a subscription that renews automatically each week, month or year. Turn off renewal from your account whenever you like: you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

What's the difference between the plans?

Nothing but how you pay. Every plan gives you the exact same full access. Weekly is an introduction: €1.50 for your first week, after which it continues as a monthly subscription at €3.50 (you can stop it before then). Yearly is the cheapest: two months free compared to paying monthly.
